I have been shooting a lot for a long while now, and have never bought an AR-15. I have built them all, and all have been awesome. Not sure why anyone would buy one at this point other than as a time-saver, such as a fully tuned gun like a JP.

If I could go back in time, (and knowing what I know now), I would have just bought KAC and been done with it since day 1.

I feel the same way, except with Colt

sold all my hobby guns and parts and simply have a couple of 6920’s now

They are good as is bit a lighter trigger very doable, just drop in a geiselle

A match grade upper is a simple as pulling two pens and popping on a Larue (or JP or whatever)

For me, it was kind of a discussion killer. There might be more boutique-y stuff out there for sure, but the Colts get it done year in and year out

I’ve got a few KAC uppers but honestly I think there are fairly equivalent options for half the price. It’s absolutely a diminishing returns thing. Honestly if anything I’m considering selling off my KACs and just going G for my ‘really nice’ ARs. I tend to prefer them. Being cheaper is just a bonus.
I'm interested in those uppers if you still have them.
