HA!

Dad told me back when he was in school that Bill Jordan would come down and put on a shooting demo for all the kids.
That's frikkin' awesome!

Pffft.....
Can you believe it? The only guns *we* got to have in grade school were either the pistols/shotguns we put blanks in and shot at each other during a western themed school play or the ones we took hunting after school and had to leave at the teacher's desk 'til after class.
Low and behold.....nobody EVER came in and shot up a classroom full o' students!
Not once.

Our grade school yard in Healdton sounded like a fireworks display when we all got our cap guns out during recess.

I only got two whippings when I was in school. The first one was in the 1st Grade when I hit a girl over the head with the butt of my cap gun. Can you imagine the uproar if some kid were to do that today.

On the other hand, I'm sure I did that because I saw Gene Autry do the same thing during a Saturday matinee. Today, kids are shooting each other in the same fashion after playing their video games. Something of a strectch but, then again, something to think about.
