I wear a ball cap occasionally if outside on a sunny day, otherwise don’t wear one.
I know some guys that probably sleep and have conjugal relationships while wearing theirs.

Guilty of both. A lot. I see no issues here.

I dunno. My cap came from the restaurant in Destin, Florida. My daughter went there on a college trip and brought it back to me.

While out of the country once when I was in the military, I shaped a boonie hat to the point I was told it was "suave and debonair"...I thought it was cool that way, but maybe not very "boonie hatesque" .

Not wearing hats when you are bald will make for a very uncomfortable scalp, especially if you go to an outdoor range all day in July.
