Went to light my furnace last night & guess what? It didn't work.

I have a Trane XB80.

I'm thinking the control board is bad. Can't find anyone in Tulsa who will sell me a Trane Control board.

So the question is anyone know a good Trane repairman that works the Owasso area or someplace that sells Trane parts to the general public?

Tried Greers, Palmer & Locke.

Thanks!

Are you sure it is the board? Have you tested the limit loop? If my memory serves me well that model has a flame sensor that is quarkey have you checked it?

the board is only sold by a trane distributor. The few I'v been forced to buy have been NOS off of the internet. If you look make sure you get the highest revision number. Trane is notorious for re-revising

I'm getting the 3 blink LED CODE for a "Pressure Switch Error"

I only have 24vac on one side of the switch.

I removed the pressure switch and gently blew & sucked and the diaphram moved. I guess the electrical connections could be fried, but the mechanical part of the switch seemed fine and unobstructed.

The startup blower fan that the clear hose attaches to doesn't come on, but its not froze up. That why I was thinking its the board.

I have not checked the flue for birds nest yet as it was already dark last night when I got started on this. Also I haven't tried shorting across the pressure switch to see if it will start up.

You're getting a press switch error because the draft inducer is not running, pull the power leads to the inducer, and check for 120v with the furnace in heat mode.

If you have no power to the inducer during the time when the furnace is starting the heat sequence (the inducer shuts off when the error code starts blinking) then I would say you have a bad board.

DO NOT SHORT THE PRESSURE SWITCH AND TRY TO RUN THE FURNACE!!!!

Put a tester on the leads that go to the combustion motor and see if it has 110V ac during the cycle. PM me your number and I'll try and call you tomorrow
