Who did you go with for installation?
Thanks, found some companies that do Trane and Carrier waiting to get quotes from them. If you look online people just have a lot of bad things to say about Lennox almost nothing good especially their ACs.I had an American Standard put in my daughter's house because they had a lifetime warranty on the compressor and got the best recommendation from all 3 of the companies I got quotes from.
I wouldn't be afraid of American Standard, Lennox, Carrier or Trane if you have a good installer and are comfortable with the warranty and price.
Hes also a licensed Carrier dealer. I have a Carrier and had to call him to d a repair. Only certified Carrier techs can work on one or buy parts. And he installed a new outside unit for me in tuttle some years ago. It was a carrier.Al's is a Trane dealer
Al's one of my best friends and I worked there for several years , he has never been a carrier dealer. any licensed tech can work on carrier units with the exception of 18 seer and up and then you only have to go to a 1 day certification class for that. also Al sold out to Owens comfort systems this week and I don't know enough about them to endorse themHes also a licensed Carrier dealer. I woulda sworn he installed a carrier for me in tuttle. Maybe it was a Trane? Been over 10 years ago so maybe I'm not remembering right. But I did call him 2 years ago to repair a gas valve on my furnace, which is a carrier.Al's one of my best friends and I worked there for several years , he has never been a carrier dealer. any licensed tech can work on carrier units with the exception of 18 seer and up and then you only have to go to a 1 day certification class for that. also Al sold out to Owens comfort systems this week and I don't know enough about them to endorse them
any dealer can sell other brands lower line equipment , to sell the top line stuff you have to be an authorized dealer to protect their dealers territory. that's one reason the bigger companies hate Lenox they will sell to anyone that's why so many new starting out companies sell it. Al's has always been a Trane comfort specialist dealer ....the elite of Trane dealersI woulda sworn he installed a carrier for me in tuttle. Maybe it was a Trane?
