I agree with all of this. Maybe having a 3 day weekend gave me too much time to think, but I am very concerned about my future and the future of the United States. I have so many questions about what has really been going on in this country for the last 60-70 years my head feels like it is swimming.
Don't you know....it's already mapped out for us. They are just slowly implementing it over the course of deacdes so that nobody will realize what exactly happened.

Is anyone else curious how far a private organization could go in supporting conservative views before big bro decided to villianize it and try to tie it to criminal activity or less than honorable groups (ie.. KKK, Panthers, Aryan Nation)? I believe they would be scared s#$%less!
From what I've seen, nobody called "Big Brother" has to get involved at all.
On the contrary...all "Big Brother" has to do is to just stand outta' the way and let them expose/villianize themselves.
In my estimation if it weren't for the "less than honorable" element involved then it would've likely already have been a done deal.
It's really not hard to see what I mean if you just take a look at the gun culture in general....for one, it's fraught with racism, and I'm not even going in to the criminal elements.
I hate to even say those things, but it doesn't really do much good to ignore the truth....and certainly doesn't solve the problem.
In my opinion that has really hurt the cause for 2A freedom.

Eh....anyway, that's what I think...

Those are some scientific numbers right there. Was it gut instinct that made you come up with the arbitrary 10%, or do you just like nice, round numbers?
This is especially hilarious given that Obama's margin of victory in the election corresponded positively to education levels. Also, affairs is spelled with two 'f's.

When you put it that way, and I do have to agree, there doesn't seem like there is a thing we can do about, but just sit back and let them hit us with everything they throw at us. If we start to stand up for the U.S. Constitution and tell the federal government to get back in line with it, we are just going to be labeled some kind of loons who for the most part cling to the 2nd.

Does anybody actually believe we have time to form a new political party and even be successful? We are being steamrolled now, I don't think anything is going to change in November 2010 and who knows what will happen within the next 3 years or even 7 years, what new policies will come out of the Whitehouse. We are a minority who still believe in the constitution of the United States, because it is what made this country great. We may be a minority, but we are in the right, but we have to get our states behind us to get the federal government back in line or we're up a creed without a paddle.

I love this hyperbole. Love it!

PS the rapture is happening in 5...4...3...2....

I'm sorry, did you have anything contructive to say, or do you just like to show everyone just how educated you are? If have something to say, keep the tone down and maybe someone will listen to you.

You are right- I apologize for the low content post.

Getting back to the discussion, why do you believe that the nation has suddenly abandoned the Constitution?

Accepting what you are saying as a given, why can't we, the "minority", form our own interest group and be allowed to voice our opinions without being included in the lawless and criminal "gun culture" that was mentioned earlier. Just because a stereotype exists, doesn't mean that you have to fall into it because you have similiar beliefs about an issue. Hell, if that was the case we wouldn't be having this debate; we would be jumping on the socialist bandwagon that is circling the Capital as we speak. As for that Creek you mentioned Rat, it is getting deeper and deeper by the minute!

I certainly don't think it is all of a sudden, and it's not getting any better. You don't think that the federal government has too much control? I'm all for national defense and if we need to pay some taxes for our security, that is all fine. I don't have a lot of knowledge of the constitution like I should, but I think programs such as medicare, medicade, social security, education, and healthcare should be left up to the states according to the constitution. If I'm wrong somebody correct me I don't want to look like an idiot anymore than I have to.

Since late last year we have passed 2 stimulus plans another may be on the way, with the senate now having a super majority, a cap and trade bill has some chance of passing and government healthcare and we still don't know what shape our economy is in. What is going to happen next, I'm very concerned.

I'm not saying that we can't, but time is of the essence, we are the few who don't want to see this change coming. If a people rise up and start demanding we follow the constitution and want to elect such a person, I believe that the media would come around and put labels on us and one of those labels would have something to do with the 2nd, and you don't think that would be a strike against us? I hope enough of us can come together and do something before it is to late and I hope we can get the state behind us on that. I told a four people here at work that I went to the tea party, two didn't know what that was, we need to get the word out.

As a former Republican - now just a conservative. It is not a new change and has been happening from both parties for a long time..
