I think it will be a generational thing. In another 20y-30y, if it's not black or semi-auto or full auto, I don't think there will be much of a market for them. I know a lot of folks who collect firearms of all kinds, but I can only think of one who collects revolvers. He's about 55yo, all the others are in their 40's to 20's. Old revolvers just don't do it for them. Old 1911's sure do though.

I think of my collecting as a hobby. It's not a way of hedging against inflation. If prices rise, then my estate sale will benefit. If prices go the other way (never have in my lifetime) then so be it - I won't care either way.
