I have neuropathy in my strong arm and hand. As well ad a bunch of other places from injuries and surgeries. Don't get discouraged. Nerves regenerate at some INSANELY slow rate. Like a millimeter or 2 every 6 months or so. Don't quote me because I don't remember exactly what he said but the bottom line was that it can take YEARS for nerve damage to resolve. Good news is that nerves are weirdos. Some days you won't have problems at all ...

Up until my accident in October I was still shooting regularly, even with my messed up strong hand. Take the opportunity to strengthen your weak hand shooting. Hope your problem resolves quickly.

Oh and as far as typing, the muscles in your hand will compensate pretty quickly -- especially if you type every day ... I can still type at 70-80 wpm even on the days I cannot feel my fingers on my right hand.

It's good to hear you are progressing!!
I have the same in my legs/feet and arms
Left arm is worse. I want to say the Dr said nerves heal at 1 millimeter per day but that sounds fast to me, so maybe im remembering wrong. I know after knee surgery when I was 19, my lower leg was numb for about 15 years

I have lost my entire family and am the last of the Mohicans to sickness. I am glad your getting better.

I had a knee operation once where they told me they were going to have to cut a nerve. Had an area on the side of my leg I could not feel a pin poking in it for a while. Then it just felt tingly like it was asleep for a few years when you touched it. It finally completely grew back to full feeling after about 7 years. It will slowly get better and better.

Welcome aboard. You’d be hard pressed to find a greater group of people. More like a community that likes to shoot and support the 2A.

There is a band across my back that is about 10-12 inches wide where I cannot feel anything except around the edges of it and then it's a sharp, stabbing, burning pain. (Those 2 thoracic fractures.) Recently what has up til now just been weird has turned into BRUTAL burning pain. God help anyone who touches me anywhere on my upper back. I'm hoping it resolves sooner rather than later but previous experience with neuropathy and nerve damage and regeneration makes me think it's gonna get WAY worse before it gets better.

The nerve coming back feels odd at best, hurts really bad at worst as you well know. Bless you!

I jacked up C-3 C-4 & C-5 playing football to the extent that the area of my upper neck where they are located was completely numb for about 2 1/2 years. With the help from surgery and a very good physical therapist my nerves and muscles slowly got stronger and my feeling returned to the point that I knew when I needed my neck hair trimmed. Positive thinking is also a very good medication

Sorry to hear. Before I lost my wife she had stage 4 cancer. the chemo and radiation were so intense and so long the doctors said that it may have dissolved some of the sheathing that protects her nerves in her hands. Said it felt like someone sandpapered her fingertips off and electricity was running through her hands all the time. She had to stay jacked on Oxycotin and valiums just to cope. Changed her whole personality so I know what you must feel like after watching that.
