yes I would.
Old guy neighbor told me they hooked up 1/2" drive air impacts to a go cart once and had 100 feet of hose and a guy at the beginning of the hose ready to unhook it when they got close to the end.

450 lb of TQ on each of those impacts he said it would go 100 feet in nothing flat.

I have a couple of side shaft engines and some 2 stroke weed eaters laying around also.
I may get a bit more injured soon.

I do have a few car engine starters and really wanted to use one of them because the TQ they have.
Need a continuous duty variable speed auger motor or something in similar configuration. Engine starter motors are high torque as you know but the longevity would be lacking in my experience. Not to mention when batteries get weak that is the most diagnosed culprit to starter motor failure( low voltage).
I like your engineering design concept thou and as always one man's junk is another man's treasure. Always said give me a pile of junk and it will entertain me for awhile building stuff.

I wish I could remember the name of the electric wheelchair we had here for awhile. It was a blast. Would pop a wheelie with me in it and I weighed 275 at the time. You really need the motor from one of those. It would do 13 mph.

I will keep my eyes peeled, I actually had one years ago.
I tested the new battery and 24 MPH up the hill instead of 13
and 25 down hill.
That was full throttle which only added 2 more mph vs 1/2 throttle.

My limiting factor is the 13 amp motor.
I have other motors and will eventually try them.

Right now i will cruise up and down hill at 1/2 throttle at 20 MPH and see how long/far the bike
will go.
Battery between the frame rails.. way better than the car batteries.

OK the electric wheelchair was called Bounder but you will want an older one. The newer ones have been tamed down to 8.5 MPH. Old ones up to 13 mph. Some with a 1000 lb passenger.

The one we had was a demo chair that was a blast. We started playing with it here at home and had most of the neighbors come out and try it. Had an optional light I joked was an aircraft landing light and a very loud horn. It was fast with a lot of take off power.
