I would invite Tom Joad, the protagonist from "The Grapes of Wrath". He is the classic representation of 'everyman" - and being from Sallisaw he would enjoy sharing a supper of beans, cornbread, fried potatoes, and fried backstrap from a doe I spotlighted in my rich neighbor's pasture.

One of the best gifts I have purchased. ;)

We have a couple that we shoot and eat with regularly. They are quite a bit younger than we are. The "she" part of this couple was telling me about these books and how good they were and how she had to ask the "he" part of this couple what some of the "stuff" in the books was because she didn't know and how she'd had to google some of the stuff (she's a really sweet girl! Not like me at all ... LOL).

Anyway, I got through the first book and told GC "Man, I hope the second book picks up the pace a bit" ... Then, after I got about halfway through the second book I asked GC if I needed to be embarrassed because I hadn't had to google anything I'd come across yet. :lookaroun HEY!!

I still haven't read the third book yet. :lmfao:

(But Christian Grey is still hella S.E.X.Y. Boomchickabowwow ...)

I asked her, she said she didn't know.

Hmmmm ... Your wife not read off the best seller's list? He's the character in the best selling 50 Shades trilogy. It's ... ahhhh ... errrrr ... ahem ... "suggestive" to say the least. Big, bit hit amongst the church-going crowd ... Go figure ... LOL (Hey, I don't make the news, I just report it ... :) )
