Wasn't there a requirement, a deal to build a wall and enforce border laws that Reagan was supposed to get in the amnesty deal? Didn’t the Democrats renig on what they agreed on?

Not that I remember, but not sure. Correct me if I’m wrong. Reagan was focused on the war on drugs so much as far I remember.

You’re incorrect. Tip O’Neill taught Reagan the difference between authorizations and appropriations with the false promise of border security, in exchange for amnesty. Ultimately 2.7 million illegals received amnesty, but we’ve been waiting 37 years and counting for a secure border.

I saw pics of the Jan 6 NG "protecting" the capitol with empty mag wells in their rifles, but it appears the TX National Guard is carrying live ammo.
There has been a couple of incidents where shots were fired.
