Why would the interview be unpleasant? If he is in fact a reserve police officer he knew the laws and hopefully followed them. Your comment sounds like most that are posted on the internet when it comes to dealing with the police or ATF. I have dealt with both and they have always been professional in their actions. No rubber hoses or bright lights, just the facts please.

Actually, it's a real possibility. We have the IRS and every 10 years, the Census Bureau. Our government does make lists and definetly checks in more than twice (Santa policy)!

it already has happened, see katrina, gun owners were forcibly evacuated from their own property and their weapons confiscated by military contractors. if you would have resisted you would be dead.
I agree. It seems that about 1/3rd of the folks at gun show should not be allowed in the building.
If you have to ask for permission (4473) from the government to buy a gun, it is no longer a right. It is a privilege, that they can, and will take away from you.
The non-gun community has already made up its mind we are unreasonable. Why should we compromise anything? I don't give a damn about making the other side feel good.
I understand you are trying to make it win-win. But that only works for fair minded people in regular negotiations. But the Left Establishment is malevolent and only seeks outright victory over you and your rights.

We have compromised for years and see where it has gotten on us, we continue on the path of erosion of god given rights from our creator. And its not just about guns. It's about the over reaching control of government in all aspects of our life. The right to travel (driving), the right to freedom of medical decision (drugs), the right to privacy, the right to food (grow your own). The false appearance of a little temporary safety over the enduring freedom of liberty.
