To me a gun is no different than selling any other piece of property i own. A gun is merely a tool, it be like asking a guy who run a tool store if he feels responsible if someone buys a hammer from him and then kills somebody with it. We are each individually responsible for our own actions. I value our freedoms over playing what if games in an attempt to justify our government controlling more aspects of our lives.

Yes, they will have questions about the transaction but so what. It's part of any criminal investigation. As long as it was within the laws covering private transactions the seller is not in any trouble.

You are probably correct but I bet that reserve police officer will be having nightmares about having a new friend, Bubba, at the Greybar Hotel after the questioning process. The interview won't be a pleasant conversation over coffee and a Danish.

Firearms are more closely related to automobiles than tools. In fact, that's another good idea, state issued titles for firearms.

I look at that picture of you ....saying that and I spit my coffee on my dogs sitting next to me.
(dont want it on my keyboard ,I type bad enough as it is)

.But would that Not be another Law, and a State one at that.
I thought FFL was Federal Firearms License
And so now we should go back to the policing our own, ?
I dont have any objections to filling out a 4473, but giving a stranger my ID info ....just bothers Me ,besides if all transactions go through a FFL, That would create a list for All weapons

I don't mind showing photo id for a private sale. Hell if they want to do it through a FFL I'm cool with that as well, as long as they are paying for all of the fees but I do not believe it should be the law of the land and I damn sure don't think my wife should have to pay a ffl to transfer all of my firearms to her in the event of my death.

If someone (felon) can't be trusted with a gun, because they have a history of breaking the law....what are they doing out here with us. Isn't that the purpose of the background check? Find out if they can be trusted to responsibly follow the law. Exercise in futility.

If you saw some of the people that go to gunshows you'd understand his thought process.

Well, if you look at the last three most talked about shootings; Tucson, Colorado and Newtown, all those guys not only were f'd up in the head but they all looked a lot crazy. Do I agree with background checks for all? No, so don't go there.

I know it is Kalifornia, but our gun shows are every bit as crowded as any place else and they sell plenty of guns here. You make a deal with the vendor and finish it up at his shop. Inconvenient, yes, but doable.
