A possibility, but a psychologist will be one of the first ones voted off by either the prosecutor or defendant's attorney. In short, they would find a psychologist too unpredictable. :selfangel

Very weary of people that try to tout their self importance. Isn't a psychologist kinda like a chriopactor? Not the real deal but they try to act like they are.

Take a book, lap top, smart phone, and anything else you can think of to occupy yourself. Lots of sitting and waiting. Coney place two blocks away for lunch - mmmmmmm.... Coneys...

Humm....stating the facts from experiences others have had. I would be more than happy to serve on a jury and assist in a very valuable process as other family members have done. I apologize if my comments have seemed like touting, I certainly don't see not being given the opportunity to serve in an area of civic duty as a good thing. I have had friends not even allowed to serve on a jury when they were called for jury selection. I even had a friend in graduate school that specifically asked the judge for the opportunity to serve but was denied (does not seem fair to me). As far as the comment about what is a "real deal" or not, I define that by the impact we can all have in the work we do not by one's title or occupation. I hand it to you for devaluing two professions that other members may also be a part of on this forum; professions that impact lives positively just like many others regardless of a given title or degree.

Have not ever had to do it thus far because I was in the service, but I'm sure it'll come one day. If I end up making it to law school in a few years I wonder if I'm still eligible to do Jury Duty after I finish....

My wife has been called twice in the last 4 years. I have never been summoned in the 21 years I have been in OK.

Your EDC flashlight is the closest thing to a weapon you can carry in with you. My wife took hers in last month.

I would not try to get out of jury duty. And I don't consider myself "too stupid to get out of it."

And I dislike them having wifi or allowing smartphones/laptops. Seriously? The people who are deciding guilty / not guilty are reading the sports page and facebook while your life's fate is in the balance?

Wow.
