i have the shotgun news issue where david fortier did the torture test on AR mags, the lancers held up the best overall

i wonder if that ar torture test article out of shotgun news could be found online, the aluminum mags came out surprisingly well.

Someone is certainly crying a lot in this thread.

That's interesting to know that the Lancers are cheaper than the PMAGs - they didn't used to be, I'll have to give them a try now.

And the only test that they appeared to beat the PMAGs in was an 8.5ft drop test on the feed-lips (loaded). USGI testing isn't anywhere near that and I don't honestly see its value (anymore than running over them with a car honestly).

I'd love to see a test where mags are loaded, inserted, dropped from chest height, and repeat like 500 times and see which mags hold up to that.

I am with EZ Bake on that kind of drop test.

When I am shooting I am nice to my gear so far so no dropped and scratched up yet for my AUG mags.
