Hey everyone, going to be looking at replacing hvac soon. My furnace is 18 years old and starting to need some costly repairs seems to make more sense to just replace. Unfortunately my AC is R-22 so have to replace that same time even though it’s working fine.

Started looking around and ALL of the major hvac companies around here that I can find are nearly exclusively pushing Lennox. These are the highest rated hvac companies as well. Everything I’ve read and researched people hate Lennox and say don’t buy one.

I’ve asked to be quoted for some different brands and the quotes I’m getting are thousands higher than the Lennox quotes for Amana or American Standard.

Anyone have opinions on any of the below? Thanks

1. Lennox HVAC and is it bad?
2. Good HVAC company in general.
3. HVAC company that doesn’t only push Lennox?

I highly recommend Gentry Service located in Mustang. He serviced the rental I lived in and was very respectful of my time and availability. As a result he now services my own home. Been around for at least 30 years, probably longer.

We went with Carrier when we replaced our HVAC installed by Gentry. Haven't had any issues.

Hope this helps.

Al's heat and air in Tuttle is who I would call. with HVAC systems who installed it is more important than brand , Trane / American standard are the best in my opinion , but if you get a good warranty it doesn't make that much difference

Our company went with Lennox and we regret it. I think installers are pushing it because Lennox is the only place to get replacement parts.

The company that does our maintenance said they would replace the units with Trane or another brand as they fail.

I base this on what I’ve been told and what our experience has been. I’m not knocking Lennox but, I would shop around before investing.
