Finally got some glass on my Savage 10BAS-K. Once I got it on, I realized it was waaaay higher than it needed to be. So, I took off the "tri-rail" that comes with the rifle, and used a standard EGW base for a Savage 10 action. The rings are temporary so I can go shooting until US Tactical Solutions get some more low rings in stock. The scope is a Leupold Mk 4 8.5-25 M1 Mildot.

Seems like alot of you guys are in the know. I'm contemplating JAE 700 RSA stock with rem short action .308, who gets the most out of this action and what will it set a guy back.
I've also looked at the HALO Fbar in .308 I like the idea of a 0.5moa kit, that way I can only blame myself when I miss.

JAE 700 isn't even being shipped yet - I just called J.Allen the other day and got hold of the girl that works in there - she emailed me some nice pics of their theoretic rifle stock, but she said they're pushing the shipment of production stocks back to October (I think that's what it was this time, they've been delayed almost as much as the Masada).
She said that there is already a 6-month back log when they ship in Oct and that if I was to order one now (and they actually start shipping in Oct this time), that it would be March/April before I ever saw it.
Sorry, but its not worth it until some get out into the field and get tested by folks who know what they're doing. Its awesome looking and if its anything like the JAE 100, it will probably be worth it, but I'm not willing to wait 6 months on a product that isn't even being shipped yet.
Thanks for the info, I guess that gives me time to save up! I saw the reviews of the 100 and thought it was pretty sweet, maybe an m25 lightfeather with the JAE 100 would be fun.
I saw a few pages back that some people dont like the VTR model is there something wrong with them??? Should i trade mine and get something else or just start upgrading it? Its mainly gunna be a plinker but every once in a while will be used to hunt boar and deer.

I purchased a Remington 700 VTR in 308 just wondering if they are worth a damn? I read on this thread a few pages back people bitching about the quality. Just wondering if i should sell it and buy another model or just keep it and start upgrading? The primary use will be plinking and every once in a while using it for hog hunting and deer hunting.
IMO its was fairly accurate after sighting in the scope i managed to get a nice grouping. I put about 10 rounds in the bulls eye area all withing a quarter size area. This was at H&H not sure what the range is there but i like the gun
