I wouldn't be completely shocked, but I have to believe that the kind of people who would be looking for a '92 Ranger and would have $9,500 cash available to buy it is going to be a very small group, indeed. There aren't going to be a lot of financing options available on a 32 year old vehicle that's not a "car of particular interest."

If he is willing to work the ad and do it for up to 48 months? Yes, he will get asking. Will he get it this week? Highly doubtful.


The basic rules of selling price.

Need money quick= discount.

Median price= working an ad moderately for a median period of time

Maximum value- heavily working the ad(s) for a possible long period of time
