Look on the bottom of the cookie jar,,,
See who made it.

Frankoma Pottery here in Oklahoma made a lot of trademarked cookie jars,,,
I have one from their plant that is the Keebler Elf Tree,,,
I got it when I worked there in 1997.

I heard on the grapevine that they made several more on contract,,,
I would be very curious to know if your R2D2 was one of them.

It would raise the price by a good amount.

Mom had a Cop cookie jar. When you opened it, said, "step away from the cookies"

I gave it to nephew after Mom passed. He got "busted" a lot, trying to sneak cookies, when he was young.
One of my nieces got that cookie jar at a white elephant party this last Christmas.

Do not plan on getting rid of it, but if I did I would want to trade for guns or ammo. Hoping the wife will want to use it.
If you change your mind, I MAY know someone who would be interested in it. Him and his wife are huge Star Wars collectors. The mostly stick to the action figures side of it, but they venture out on occasion. Especially if it's truly original stuff. Let me know if you decide to, although I completely understand if you don't.
