when I was a young starving artist I used to frequent auctions looking for bargains. especially back after the oil boom bust. you could find a bunch of good stuff cheap. wasn’t unusual to bring home a truckload of stuff. the one constant was even if it was just one or two guns the prices of just about everything would exceed retail. guns would go 150% which would frustrate the neckbeards who would run prices up on everything.

I haven’t been to many in the past couple decades so who knows.

I haven’t been to many in the past couple decades so who knows.

Excellent observation. If you have to auction off Grandparents' stuff, add a few firearms! Noted!

I went to exactly one Chupps auction and witnessed people paying 300% more for guns than they could be purchased at even the gunstores which apply full retail . It was mind boggling
Precisely why people sell stuff at auctions. It's like going into a casino week after week and throwing money at a machine that is designed to keep it.
