Lost my job today...

One month and 3 days after I got married, I got terminated from my job. Walked in to the office like it was just another day, came out of nowhere.

6 weeks ago I got promoted and a raise, today, I got downsized. Feels a little strange.

Time to brush up the resume and get to sending it out. If anyone knows of companies that need anyone in data/financial analysis, IT or Management of either (I have experience in all three) let me know!

Here's to a new chapter in life! This can be a horrible experience, or it can be the best thing that ever happened to me. Trying to keep the faith and have a good attitude. Wish me luck!

HP usually always has a number of career paths in the Tulsa area...If you search their website then you can drill down to the Tulsa area. Not sure of any other places immediately, but I haven't looked in a while.

It's weird that they would promote you 6 weeks ago and now lay you off.

Doesn't seem like a very well managed company.
