Most rational/sober people with any sense normally do. Im betting that they were probably higher than a kite and probably not too bright to begin with.the scratch marks running up and to the left means they were 100% using something like an open ended wrench or even channel locks to get 'em as tight as they did.
man i know i do stupid stuff, but at some point don't you ever say to yourself "wait....this is way too hard, this CAN'T be right"
lord knows i've avoided making a dumb decision a dumb critical error by merely thinking "it shouldn't be this difficult, maybe i need to change my approach".
