Chicken was awesome. Some of the pulled pork was kind of mushy but some parts were really good. According to my googlefu it may have been overcooked. I do need to invest in a good thermometer.

I smoked a few butts in the smoker yesterday. I went to Walmart and bought a probe thermometer. Best money spent this year. Lets you leave the smoker shut without opening to manually check. Next time you cook your butts, pull them at around 185 to 190 and wrap in foil and place in a ice chest packed with bath towels for about 2 hrs. The meat will shred in your hands and have very good moisture..
