Thanks CHL, I am trying to decide what to do with it sight wise. I don't dislike the idea of making a repro sniper, but I am also thinking about scout scoping it. Will get some "before" pics up later.

I think Milsurps deserve their own forum. All I have is an old 91-30 and a M1 Garand from the CMP.
This weekend Saturday morning at 8 am me and one of my buddys are meeting at Canadian ranges to shoot them. Any one else is more that welcome to come out and shoot with us. We will be shooting mostly prone at 100 yards. Iron sights or not we aren't competing or anything but we do go down and compare targets.
At some point I would like to put some peep sights on that Mosin I have. I need to figure out a way to justify 80 bucks on a 90 dollar rifle.
1903 A3 is kinda like a holy grail rifle to me. Anymore people want as much for a 1903 a3 as a Garand. Maybe someday.
