I can't believe no one has said Lynyrd Skynyrd! All you got is Sweet Home Alabama, and Free Bird.
I wonder how much hate mail I'm gonna get for this....

Ha Ha Ha! Just kidding!
I will say the modern music industry is set up for an over saturation of a select number of artist on their payroll. Top 40 count down is a great example. They still have that right? I have Satellite Radio even there it's a select number of bands over and over. Like musical propaganda. If we play this over and over people will start to like them. I believe true musical talent has taken a back seat to theatrics. Who can look the craziest, have the most pyrotechnics and lights. Most of music output today is so heavily mixed in the studio it's not their real voice anymore. That's why when you hear them live they sound out of key. Ok, I'm off my soapbox now.

Brittney Spears performing live sounds exactly like her studio recording.. you know, the songs that she writes herself? Even with all the running and dancing around she does on stage, you never hear her panting or breathing heavy at all. Now THAT'S a talented artist. Wonder how she does it?

If you are talking Live let-downs let's include Ronnie James Dio, Texas Jam, 1986ish

You must have hit a bad show. I seen RJD twice and he put on a hell of a show. I can see at the Texas Jam that they may not be able to set up the way they do when it is just them. As far as live, Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Sonic Youth, and Tesla "the first time" was a waste of money. Bon Jovi just plain sucked. Skid Row was a joke. Sonic Youth was by far the worst show I have ever seen. Tesla was messed up and could not play. I did see Tesla twice more and they were good. I think the drugs have alot to do with the show. lol

Lol at ridge hunter. I assume you think the great bands are whitesnake and bon jovi? The Beatles pioneered alot not only for rock but also for music in general.

No, but thanks for playing.:thumb:

Cute list. Mostly made up subjective opinions, untruths and irrelevant "achievements" that appear to have been written by a 12 year old, but still cute. Not as cute as that Ringo though, they should have let him sing more! :D Some of the funnier ones from that list, proving people worship those mop top school boys and think they invented music:

4.) The first band to incorporate woodwind instruments, violins, and
symphony orchestras into their music.
12.) The Beatles introduced "Psychedelic" and "Acid" Rock
22.) The Beatles were the first band to openly experiment with LSD.
23.) The Beatles were the first band to have some of its members arrested for
Drug possession.
24.) The Beatles were the first band to openly experiment with alternative
forms of religion
25.) The Beatles were the first band to publicly denounce certain forms of Religion.
30.) The Beatles were the first band to speak out against the Vietnam War.
27.) The Beatles were the first band to incorporate odd sounds, gibberish, and non-sensical phrases into their recordings.

Lawl. The Beatles invented violin and woodwind music, and 2 more forms of rock I didn't realize they had invented. The first musicians to have "controversial" beliefs too! And gibberish! Can't forget gibberish.

28.) The FIRST true HEAVY METAL recording was "HELTER SKELTER" found on "The White Album",

:lmfao:

That's the funniest thing I've ever read on the internet. Beatles and heavy music in the same sentence?
