My Grandson was over last week and made the comment "there's a dove back in the nest". Sure enough, the dove is nesting again. Been on the nest about a week now.
I think I read once they can have three hatches in a year. If that is accurate, it is just crazy and wish turkeys would do that.
Two more babies from the third hatch this year. It looks like they will leave the nest in another day or so. Maybe even today. Momma/Daddy are not staying on the nest today and only come back for a bit every so often. The babies are starting to be more visible and even venturing up the eave a couple of feet. They will be testing their wings soon and be gone. Kinda sad to see them go.
