Does this fireplace supposed to automatically start up? Or do you manually set the temp at the fireplace and push the pizo lighter? Mine is manual and you have to push in on the knob to start and keep the gas flowing until the thermocoupler heats up. Also, had to use one of those long lighters to light it up. Those pizo lighters suck.

It is suppose to automatically start up with a a flick of a switch. The switch looks just like a light switch on the wall next to the fireplace.
Is there a reo-stat/thermostat....something to adj heat/flame.?
Is it remote controlled?

There is a control board that opens a solenoid to allow gas to flow, my bet is the card has gone bonkers..
