I don't know much about scopes I would like to get a good one but would like to stay around $100 to $200 maybe a little more if needed what would be a good scope for my rifle in that range

Here are some options that will work in your price range. You need to stay away from gimmicky scopes in that price range and stick to solid basic construction. No one makes a high option scope in that price range that's worth a dime. They will not have good light transmission and will fail at the most inopportune times.

Like I stated before, you're trying to get too many bells and whistles when what you should be looking at in your price range is good glass and solid construction. I'm not impressed at all with the Leatherwood offerings. They're trading on a reputation that's 45 years old and doing it a disservice. Stay with the known quantity brands if you want to be satisfied with your purchase.

I realize you want some neat features, but for your intended purpose, they're just not necessary.

Man I guess I shoulda polled the audience before I bought my DMS-1, everyone her seems to enamored of the burris now.

Ya know what OP get what you want, 3-9x is perfect I have an old Bushnell trophy 3-9x that sits on my blackpowder gun it does a great job.

A 10x minimum magnification in the deer woods is miserable, been there done that.

My complaint with scoped AR's is the interference with the charging handle. If you don't have an extended latch pick up a badger tac latch.
