Need some .22 conversation help...

I bought a .22 kit from Shooter Dave about 7 years ago and I just have not done anything with it. If I remember right one time I picked it up to move it out of my way, I pulled the bolt back and the spring shot out of the back. I just put it all in a box and forgot about it. Well this last week I been pulling out parts to sell to get a pistol for one of my security jobs, and I came across this kit, and short .22 barrel. I started to look into the box and then I remembered why I put it up.
Anyone know about them .22 kits? As I spent an hour or do on it the other morning, I think what I need is a small C-clip. Can anyone tell me if I'm right, if not, please tell me what I need. I could not find a lot of information on them on lone. I was told it was a Spike tactical kit, but I'm not 100% sure. I am kinda wanting to do a suppressed .22 upper for my SBR Colt.

E ring goes on the end, left side in the pic. I think spikes and CMMG are interchangeable.

This link may help. I have 2 dedicated Spikes uppers and a CMMG dedicated upper. I shoot the CMMG more because it's 4.5" v 16". The 4.5" barrel keeps everything subsonic. :-)

Mine is a CMMG and it does not have a c-clip. It actually has a nub that fits in the hole on the end of the carrier.

You may need to place a 1" 1 1/4 "piece of dowle in the buffer tube to keep the unit seated tight.
