Looking to start shooting competitions.
I have no idea where to start, or for that matter what type of organization...
IPSC,USPSA,etc...

I would like to use factory firearms(limited class?)
Maybe glock17L or sw mp pro 9??


Which one is right for me and what the difference?
I'm not even sure if that is the right question to ask...

Is there anyone that can help? I would really like to shoot with y'all?

17L is not legal for either IDPA or USPSA/IPSC, but the Glock 34 is, as well as the S&W M&P's, along with a plethora of other guns.

Bring what you have to the Carrygun match at Heartland the 19th and we'll get you started!

The carry gun match is very first time shooter friendly. Come shoot with us this Sunday.

If the two guns you mention the M&P 9 pro is the 2nd most popular gun in production division behind the Glock 34 that David mentioned.

If you have a G17L I'd be interested in buying it if you want to sell it. I want to try one for 3 gun matches.

I shot at heartland last month for my first comp in the civilian sector. It was very fun. A lot of good guys there

Dont mean to thread jack but I would like to get into competitive shooting as well but I live in Tulsa. I know OSSA is close by but all their matches seem to be real deal "league" matches. I am just looking to get my feet wet. Is there anything in within a half hour of Tulsa for me to shoot at?

Sure! Getting started in Steel Challenge or IDPA will probably be your best bet. Some jump off straight into USPSA.

Oil Capital Rod & Gun shoots all 3 plus others. USSA shoots all 3 plus others. The shooters at both welcome new shooters.
