Armadillos are on the move but that's about it so far. Never taken a deer with while wearing any kind of political affiliation so maybe tonight is the night.

Since I've become such a fair weather hunter, sunshine and 52* means I'm headed to the blind to take a nap lol.

Somebody on here mentioned cold fronts not too long ago and me and some friends were talking about it. I’ll have daylight pics in 80 degree weather and then go hunt on a cold front and not see squat! Monday and Tuesday it was 20 degrees up north and didn’t see any mature bucks. There’s no rhyme or reason to it. Lol

Yes so far this year the colder it has been the less deer I've seen.

You know what else there is no rhyme or reason to? Why does rut seem to be starting so early this year?

I saw bucks chasing on Sunday. Not just the little guys, but mature bucks. My friend in Broken Arrow has videos of 4 different mature bucks chasing doe on his place this week. Then my neighbor watched a big buck breeding and bed with a doe right across the field from his house, and was able to get close enough to get a picture of the buck. The only time I’ve seen mature bucks be that careless is when they are in rut. And look at how swollen his neck is. All this considered, tell me rut hasn’t started.

No idea. Last Friday thru Sunday anything mature I have was standing in a corn pile while little bucks were pestering does and could care less. Seeing lots of FB posts saying the exact thing you are though.
