Oklahoma state gun?

Just saw on the news that Utah is trying to adopt the Browning M1911 as the official state gun (similar to a state bird or state flower). I think it's pretty cool. What are your thoughts?


I also think it would be neat for Oklahoma to have a state gun. If we did, what should it be?

I think the Utah gesture is more of a tribute to their own JMB than a tribute to a particular firearm.Oklahoma.....probably some typr of S/A revolver,Colt SAA,or a Winchester M-94 maybe,to show our cowboy roots.
