Why? Do you feel that we need to send even more jobs overseas, borrow more money and start even more wars?
Look at the mess he left.

The mess was left by the dem controlled congress and their help in creating the housing bubble. Yes- I want a patriot and someone who puts USA first- not anyone close to the nimrod we have now

Actually she is far from dumb. You are falling for the media and Dem BS. I will say Tina Fey and the other liberals did a great job of demonizing her.

Not really...
I remember the debate and she is quite weak. (like saying HI for the kindergartens) - super unprofessional for someone whiling to back up the presidency of the United States Of America.

I don`t want Holebama to win but I think the repubs can do better.

The republicans definitely have someone better than Palin...
Seriously, she is dumb as an ostrich.
:comfort:

She is smart enough to know that one reason for our economic mess is the trade deficit. One of the components of the trade deficit is the imported oil. We have more oil than anybody else in the world but we are importing. We are the only nation in the world and in the history of mankind that has a vital resource and refuses to take advantage of it.
As a Brazilian you remember a few short years ago when your economy was down and then oil was discovered offshore. That's when you guys said that God must be a Brazilian and announced that you will get that oil. The economy started to improve immediately as preparations and investments came in. Even Obama who does not allow drilling here send you money (he borrowed from the Chinese) through the IM/EX bank. The Chinese immediately jumped to sign contracts for that oil.
We have lost common sense and what we need the most is a government that makes sense.
Right now, while we borrow trillions, we find reasons why it makes sense to send tens and possibly hundreds of billions overseas. All this is beyond insanity, it is national suicide.
She may not have the experience of other politicians but she has something we have lost. Common sense.

Lets hope you are right.
I think the american economic problem is much deeper than people think...
I am not criticizing Liberalism (I am Liberal myself), but, dont you think the problem with the US today is the nation inability to have control over the markets ?
Brazil was the last major country to enter the global recession and the first to come out, all this because of powers the President has to take full command of the country course in times of financial crisis.
A Constitutional prerogative that the US does not have.

It is true that we have problems. When you look at the politicians and you see that they are not even willing to try some basic solutions like creating a good environment for business and jobs here, it is disappointing.
We are the country that started aviation, we should not be importing airliners from Brazil. There is no good reason for Chrysler to outsource to Brazil engine components such as heads now made by TUPY. The list is endless, they are slowly killing a great country.

Just to be a Bad Boy : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alberto_Santos-Dumont

NetJets just purchased 1 billion dollars in Embraer planes.
I agree with you and I am impressed of how informed you are :)
But we have to admit, the transactions being done between Brazil and the US, are small play compared to the businesses done with China or India.
They sure represent a higher risk.

You are correct, small play compared to China or India. We used to have many civilian aircraft companies, large and small. Most disappeared, Boeing is the only major left and I bet they would not last a day without huge military contracts. Small airplane companies took a hit from lawsuits. It cost more to insure than make an airplane and once they made it they were responsible for it for ever.
You know, stupid things that eventually come to haunt you.
This is the reason I'm looking for some common sense not great wisdom. We need to make some drastic reforms starting with oil production and none of the politicians other than Palin has the balls to say a word.

If we don't bring back the manufacturing base to this country were all screwed! Ask your self how many jobs have been exported over seas in the past 15 to 20 years? What is going to be left for your children?

People better start thinking about it before it's to late!
