Lots of opinions from all sides which is good. The one opinion that I completely disagree with, is the one pushed by the Left that she is a quitter. Anybody that paid attention those days and remembers the never ending law suits designed to punish her for her conservative ideas, to grind her so far down that neither she nor anybody else like her will dare face the Leftist news media, knows better. After all the attacks and ridicule, they failed, she is still around and kicking, more so than ever before. Definitely a strong person.
This Sunday and Monday there is a show on TV "Sarah Palin's Alaska" It shows her doing things like fishing, shooting etc.
I think this show might give us a chance to peak in to her psyche, understand the person behind the beautiful face. No matter how they try, they cannot stage and control Alaska, her behavior, body language, what she does, will be revealing.
YMMV

LOL, she'll never make a serious run for president. If she did it would be a complete failure. You can bet she and her managers know that. She has all the substance of a Hostess Twinkie. It's all about selling and cashing in on the Palin persona. More power to her with that. It's a free country. I like her because her ridiculous hyperbole makes the equally ridiculous far left nervous. She serves a purpose. She's a figurehead for justified dissatisfaction in our country. But she has absolutely no business sitting in the oval office except as a visitor.

Hear what you are saying, but what I am saying is that just because our current POTUS has no experience doesnt make that a new qualification. WE NEED A POTUS THAT KNOWS WHATS UP.

Hear what you are saying, but what I am saying is that in a country of 350 million we will be faced with less than a dozen choices. One of them will become the President.
I wish that person was Pat Buchanan, the only person I consider fully qualified. It won't happen, he was destroyed by the Press. You may wish there was another choice, but at the end, the only choices will be what you see on the ballot.

Two things about Sarah Palin:

First, the Democrats attach what they fear the most with the intent of tearing that person down and reducing their chances of any success.

The Democrats have continually attacked Sarah since she came on the scene. If she had not been on McCains ticket, Hussains win would have been by a much larger margin. She got folks motivated with her folksy ways. She also got them motivated with her distinctly conservative ideals.

Second, those distinctly conservative ideals. Have you really listened to what she says in speaking about her conservative views. She is right there with Regan.

Remember when Regan first announced that he was going to run for president? Remember how the media tried to tear him down, saying he was a lightweight, former actor who never could make a decent president. He went on to be arguably the best president in the last 200 years.

Perhaps Palin wont rise to that level, but if we realize that it won't be long before we elect a female president and there is no reason she should not be the first. Much better than Billary.

I think folks tend to view her as a light weight because of her folksy ways, but she is no lightweight when it comes to conservative views and not being afraid to stand up for them. We do need some Rino from inside the Beltway in the Oval office.

JMHO

Well said and I agree

Really? And here I thought she only motivated the people who would vote Republican anyhow.

Honestly, she did nothing for the middle of the roaders, this motivation you speak of was nothing more than stoking a fire that would have burned the same regardless.

Well, for my two cents worth, anyone that the Democrats and liberal media attack so strongly must be seen by them as a very serious threat to their beliefs. With those two entities, otherwise known as the "evil twins" in my lexicon, anyone conservative will be a target, and I don't recall too many since Reagan that received such ferocious attacks.

As for the "middle of the road" didn't they just switch back to the right in this last election and make such a big difference in the outcome? From my observations of Sarah Palin (and I knew of her BEFORE McCain picked her), she has proven to be a force to be reckoned with. Regardless of what many think, I believe that she is socially and fiscally conservative and I believe that the middle-of-the-roaders would be inclined to support her. With the "tea party" effect in play, the big thing would be to get the Republican Party to fall into line for conservatism and not the party, and that would help Palin.

She was the one bright spot during the election of 2008. McCain's RINO ways really irked me and Sarah was who I voted for in 2008. As for any of the other contenders, Christie of NJ, Jindal of Louisana, and Romney are the only ones that I would otherwise consider. Huckabee proved to be nothing more than a yapping dog nipping at the heels of Romney for the benefit of McCain. Huck knew he had no chance, so he threw in with McCain.

Sorry for the rant.....

.....Now I'll wait for WhiteyMac's rebuttal. Not that it worries me any.
