"Cohen didn't commit a crime"
Maybe the campaign finance violations shouldn't be against the Law. Maybe they shouldn't. But they are.
The courts and the lawyers and the judges are convinced that they're against the law. That's all it takes. A bunch of people get together and they reach an agreement that something is against the law. You mean they didn't consult you on this, Shadow?

2) If he didn't commit a crime, why'd he plead guilty?
Without addressing this instance, sometimes it's part of a plea deal to knock off a bunch of other charges, and sometimes it's just to avoid an expensive fight. Prosecutors are famous for engaging in "charge stacking," charging everything under the sun to intimidate a defendant and get him to plead to a few charges. See also the Alford plea.

Oh come on. A speeding ticket is more concrete than this nonsense.

Cohen "did under a federal candidates direction". That's legalese for said candidate having an active retainer with him. Doesn't mean the "candidate" knew a damn thing about it. Like I said he screwed himself. And does anybody else think it odd that he turned 180 degrees with his statement and that Lanny Davis is his counsel? Things that make you gooo hmmmmm....

That the candidate knew a damned thing about it would all be speculation IF the candidate knew how to STFU which he doesn't. Sorry, but Lanny Davis doesn't control Trump's thumbs and he doesn't control Trump's mouth. Trump's biggest enemy is Trump.
Trumps eats his enemies with fava beans. Didn't you see the last election? Trumped up charges are all your side has Iggy. It's your only hope. Keep the faith. I'm sure more hoochies will be along shortly.

He's done very well in the court of public opinion. That 43.3% is hanging tough. He's never believed his revolving door legal team, that there's another court that you can't out run forever. And you shouldn't shout your guilt from the house tops.

I have no doubt it's part of a larger agreement. But if he stood before a judge and entered a plea, can you really say he 'didn't commit a crime', though? Even if it was the best outcome he could hope for, it isn't exactly going the distance to prove his innocence. Right?
