Frog Togs rain suits are nice. They are very lightweight and can stuff into a pretty small pouch when not needed. They aren't too durable for picking through brush though... but if you tear a set up, they are cheap enough (I think I paid about $20 at Academy for mine). If precip is a possibility, I will probably stuff a set of these in my gear.

What kind of setup makes carrying water easy? I don't think I'll be using a camel back, but I have one. I'd rather just have a large water bottle. Is there a place in OKC to buy a canteen, and maybe a pouch for it?

I would have a hard time trying to figure out a better method of carrying water than a camelback or similar setup. Canteens or water bottles and pouches for them can be found at pretty much any sporting goods or surplus store. You just have to decide how you want to mount the pouch.

Yeah, canteens are good and have worked for years but camelbacks are popular for a reason. They get the load off your belt and allow you to carry more water than a traditional canteen while keeping a lower profile.

That being said, running it in some old school LBE with dual 1qt canteens would earn cool points. LOL.

If you're more of a Nalgene fan, there are carriers which mount to a belt. The downside of Nalgene vs GI canteen is that the canteen is easier to drink from on the move, even if you have a splash guard in your Nalgene. If you're set on carrying on the belt I would suggest the GI surplus route.

I prefer a hydro bladder in a small patrol pack so that i can get that weight off of my belt, & easily carry a few contingency items.

Not much at all in Pawnee.
Ponca City has lots of motels, Stillwater, or Perry the same.
It kind of all depends on what refinery/power plant/ in the area has a plant overhaul going on. Plus the casino's bring a lot of motel folks. At the time of this match, there is a major overhaul at my plant in Red Rock, another going on at Conoco in Ponca.

Now is the time to get some reservations.
