Bowhunter don't give up, try some different bait. The trap looks pretty good.

Dennis, Hobby Lobby might have some small ones as some use them in crafts. Some of the peanut houses in Caddo county will have some big ones.

Where do you still get burlap sacks, much less small ones?
We always used them back in the day to keep catfish in while driving home from a fishing trip. They would still be alive when getting home. I'd like to get some more.

Atwoods usually has burlap sacks.

Dennis - We both know a certain barn has several stacks hanging from the rafters. I bet Jenni wouldn't mind if a few went out the door.

Well I threw some bread in with the dog food and caught 2. Went ahead and built another. It only took two rolls of hardware cloth (24"x60"), cost was $5.49 a roll at the local true value. Spent about 2 1/2 hours on it. Will start on a 3rd trap when all the cuts on my hands heal up. Should have worn gloves!

If you take the bait outta the can and bag you might have better luck.

I put dog food in a water bottle and poked a bunch of holes in it then dumped dog food around that. I put a couple of sliced of bread inside also. The bag went on top so it wouldnt float out the top holes. I baited my second one with bread only and put a Walmart sack at the top so theres no chance for them to get at it unless they are on the inside.
