saw volunteers collecting signatures for legal medical pot at about 31st Garnet rd in Tulsa a few days ago.
what they are doing is noble but doesn't help the majority of folks in Oklahoma who support full legalization of pot.
don't get me wrong .. I'm all in favor of legal pot for medical .. but facts are that only effects a tiny percentage of folks.
legal pot for all reasons will effect a LOT more folks and will gather way more for the simple reason that it benefits YOU.

sorry but human nature says .. what's in it for me? since only a tiny number of folks are effected by medical pot legalization it's getting less support vs legalization of pot will effect a HUGE number of people and will get support accordingly.

I'm certain you're right but I happen to have one of the conditions that's written into the proposed amendment for medical marijuana. So I'm signing both.

looking like you'll only be signing one... they're saying she won't release it because there are only a few weeks left to gather signatures...

Political grandstand? Glad I signed the first one already. I'll gladly sign the one for 733 if it gets released but just like they played games with OC they will play games with legal MJ.

Y'all better get on the ball if you want the med one.

They only have 75K signatures and two weeks left. They really need close to 300K to be safe.

I've tried and tried believe me, I suspected Johnson was grandstanding the entire time but everyone was banging on about her petition being the great white hope.

Hell I think it might have been a full blown red herring to detract from the medical bill.

many of those working to gather med signatures were waiting and hoping for this one to be released as well. others refrained from gathering med signatures to focus on this one. the medical petition will be available to sign in my town on wednesday, so i'll go ahead and sign it, even though it isn't what i'd hoped for. people need this medicine.
