Political correctness is nothing less than speech - and is becoming thought -control disguised as politeness.

It is the bane of debate and political discourse. It disguises reality and thus hampers and/or prevents the identification of real problems thereby preventing real problems from ever being solved or resolved.

PC is a tool politicians use to enhance and assure control of the sheep by assuring that those who don't toe the line are excoriated by their peers for being mean spririted or wrong thinking.

PC is about as un American a process as it can get. IF the founders were PC we'd all be speaking english with a british accent.

In short PC SUCKS!

This isn't a surprise at all. The problem is that 23% that thinks we aren't PC enough are the only ones making any noise. the rest of us that don't care about PC-ness are just fine with moving right along with our lives when a PC issue comes up.

All this does is put a percentage number on how many americas are uptight bitter a-holes.

PC is not for me!!! I enjoy my right to FREE speach. That's our FIRST amendment. Not #2, 5, or 999. Number ONE. If I want to say it, I'm gonna. Don't like it? Move to France, or some other suck country.

This is, just my opinion, mind you. Oh yeah, and all those guys that signed the Bill of Rights. What were their names?

+1. Sad thing is, too many people cannot even name the people who signed or when each amendment was passed. Time for people to :rtfm:
