Irish Wolfhound. he's 4 now.
It's pretty amazing to see people's reaction to him.
If you ring the doorbell, he'll bark and look out the window next to the door. BIGTIME deterrent for solicitors and anyone checking for an empty house.

Ah man I want an Irish wolfhound somethin fierce but my g/f is kinda scared of dogs that are almost as tall as her haha

Right now i have a beautiful GSD, she is the biggest shepard ive ever seen. Just had a vet visit and she weighed in at 124 lbs and not fat at all. Her shoulder comes up to about midway up my hip and im 5'11"
