Rabbits

Finally today that it was warm enough that some bunnies might be out. My buddy bought 10 acres to build a house on someday, but currently it is solid marsh and brier. My BIL, FIL and I were able to cover it in about 2 hours. When all was said and done we had 20 dead rabbits. No wounded ones got away and there were only two that got away at all. They were holding pretty tight. We had to step right on em.
Good day all in all. It has been a while since my game bag was that heavy. My BIL's vest had a malfunction so I was carrying most of the bag. Got pretty cold cleaning them all but it will be well worth it tomorrow night.

I know fellas who plan a malfunction on their game bag so they don't have to carry the game. Try it next time...makes walking a lot easier. Sounds like a great hunt and some great eating. Glad you were so successful.

We used to slaughter them with the beagles, but the beagles are gone now. Rabbit is really tasty.....Brings up another post...
