Portable, pop up gophers.
Made out of old 4x4 post so they are heavy enough not slide around when hit.
The hinge pieces are to minimize the spalling chewing up the wood.

I highly recommend not forgetting the ammo rating for those and accidently shooting them with a 458 SOCOM. I folded one of mine in half doing that.

The turtles are a nice touch. Kind of personalizes it a bit.

On second thought, perhaps the artwork is actually a "post" that has exploded and the "post turtle" is just trying to hang on???

Another project I finished this weekend. HAND FORGED. Did several firsts here. I don’t like daggers, so I made one. I blued the blade. I don’t like making hidden tang knives so it is a hidden tang. I was hoping it would look like a medieval thieves guild dagger. I don’t know. Maybe. Anyway. Here it is.

Didn‘t make it, but did refinish it. This was a childhood toybox. It was beat up, worn out and coming apart, so I stripped it down and reassembled it, then refinished it with gunstock colored stain and coated with spar urethane. It found a perfect place in my cabin, right next to the door where I can use it as a bench to put my boots on as I’m headed out to hunt.

Well I just finished the last knife build of the summer. Teachers have to go back to work Friday the 13th.
