Removing Finger Grooves on a Glock

NOTE: If you think you might mess it up somehow, you can use a box cutter it similar to scrape some larger chunks of polymer from the grooves. Then if you have to (or have to pay someone else to) attempt fixing it, you'll already have the right polymer on hand for welding. It seems like nothing quite matches Glock polymer but Glock polymer! Lol.

I've never used cerakote.

Another question to consider: if one removes the finger grooves and smooths out the front strap on a Gen 4 G 19, and if then choosing to install a talon grip instead of stippling, should you go with the talon grip to fit a Gen 2 or a Gen 5? I mean, you now have a smooth Gen 4; which equates to the same as a Gen 2 or is it a Gen 5? Is there any difference?

If you remove the grooves on the Gen-4, externally it will be like the Gen-2 and 5. Some of the internal parts changed on the Gen-5.
