First off, I was talking about polymer framed guns, not specifically Glock, but yes a Glock is more reliable than a 1911.... by a thin margin.
Second, why is it that all who carry a .45 are the best sharpshooter on the planet and only need 2 rounds to resolve any bad situation?

Having more rounds is not something I consider a bad thing. Especially If the worst happens and you're under stress adrenaline is pumping and not knowing if there may be more than one shooter in the movie theatre, concert, mall, ball game etc

Brother trust me when I say I was not doing anything but being a smart ass. I bought my first pistol December of last year. While I am a quick study, most of you guys on here have forgotten more than I know about pistols, so anytime you see me spouting off about things like this followed with a smiley face I am just poking the bear!!! In this case it has obviously got the bear a little riled up, I have a Taurus 809 pistol with a 17 round magazine and a M&P 45 shield, love both of them almost as much as my 1911. the reason the 1911 is my personal favorite is because it is my first..........

There is no such thing as sexual harassment for a 1911. They are designed to be rubbed on, caressed, and fondled.

I'm always in a joking manner.
I just enjoy poking at those who worship the Glock or 1911.

Pretty much. I mean those full power self defense loads make me feel like I've been violated.
.22 is about the extent of my recoil absorption.

Well thank God somebody besides
me hates recoil! Ooooh, it just makes me soooo mad I could just scream. Scream I tell you; scream!

For us, it depends on whether or not the customer needs the frame to be made smaller to fit their hand.
If the gun is large for them, we'll use a belt sander, Dremel (80 & 240grit) and a small file to remove polymer from the gun like the Gen4 G30 frame in the picture.
If their hand is a bit on the larger side, we'll just melt it all down and spread it evenly across the front and sides so as not to reduce the grip diameter.

NOTE: If you think you might mess it up somehow, you can use a box cutter it similar to scrape some larger chunks of polymer from the grooves. Then if you have to (or have to pay someone else to) attempt fixing it, you'll already have the right polymer on hand for welding. It seems like nothing quite matches Glock polymer but Glock polymer! Lol.

Take Care,
Mike
