If you compared Socialism and capitalism with Jesus' teachings, which would be closer?

What exactly in the communist manifesto correlates with the official democratic platform? Be specific please.

I'd have to say Jesus promoted capitlism. The parable in Matthew 20, 1-16 speaks to that as well as other subjects.


9 “The workers who were hired about five in the afternoon came and each received a denarius. 10 So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius. 11 When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner. 12 ‘These who were hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.’

Romney said 47% of the population was "dependent on the government and I will never get their vote".
Since that 47% stat includes retirees on SS and veterans benefits Romney is saying he will never get their vote because they are dependent on the government.

First of all I don't think that's true in that he will get some of that vote but mainly that's a really degrading thing to say about retirees.
Probably won't do him much good in Florida.

I'm a regular at Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion veterans groups, and I'm not seeing support for obama. Quite the opposite to tell the truth.

EDIT TO ADD: JB we didn't have Stimulus, QE1, QE2 or QE3 then either. That's the only reason it's as high as it is now. Mark my word on this, when the chickens come home to roost, and they are coming, the Dow is gonna crash hard. I'm wondering how the OWS crowd will feel then.

Marx and Engels' "ideas" are the bedrock in the thinking of the democrat platform, they're just disguised with good intention. If you can't see the parallels I can't help you. Did you read the link I posted? Why don't you explain to the class where they went wrong?

Yes they are, and your posting on this forum because of their sacrifices.
They do get a stipend from the government for spending 20+ years of their lives in God Forsaken places undergoing deprivations you don't even know about or understand if you werent there.

Its a gaff on his part, but I can assure you he knows the difference.

Obummer wants to see the military in Burka's for the women, and dishiki's for the men.

I don't think it's gonna matter, before, after, or age. I know an Iraq veteran under 30 years old who got a 2 week leave for his grandfather's funeral somehow. And I asked him when he came to visit what his unit thought of Obama. His reply: "they hate his ass and that goes company wide from what I can tell". Just another age reference for you.

You know...I have been reading this thread tonight and something that was said on here bothers me. "The economy is Lil George's fault." If memory serves me correctly, and it may not, I believe the economy was doing just fine and started to show weakness in 2007 until it finally came to a head, so to speak, in 2008. Now, in 2007 that would have put him in the middle of his second term and I believe that congress had an election in 2006 that put the Democrats in power in Congress. Yes, Bush was President, but partisan politics caused the economy collapse. Before that happened everything was pretty good.

Both say what it takes to make it to the finals.
The difference is the electorate on the lib side hate vets, as they don't hug trees, and have darter minnows in their family pools.

The electorate on the republican side actually love the vets, and the things they have done for this country.
