I don't remember if I showed this one before but, this is my Ruger 10/22 with a heavier than standard bull barrel...

The barrel is threaded into the action for rigidity and the barrel diameter starts out at .920" and them "swells" to 1.062"...

This shows the barrel after I turned it down, gave it a rough polish and threaded the barrel after chambering...

What's the advantage of stepping up an already hefty bull barrel on a .22LR rifle?

I don't guess there is any real advantage, other than to do something a little different. A lot of guys tilt me that a .920 diameter barrel was the largest that could be put on a 10/22. Well....... They never saw my 1.650" diameter barrel either!

Me personally, I have always preferred varmint weight or heavy bull barrels...

Despite how this rig may look, it is perfectly balanced and not front end heavy...

I installed an after market trigger, in place of the factory trigger, and at 20 oz., this is one of the sweetest shooting 10/22's I have ever owned, or shot for that matter...

Thank You Glock....

David that is hands down the most unique 10/22 I think I've ever seen. Very nice job. I really like the larger than standard bull barrel.

Great job!
