Ruger Mark III or Browning Buckmark?

I've never had a buckmark in my mits but I am on the market for one, so Chard can you explain how the picture reflects dry firing/abuse?

The vertical line above the bore. It is where the firing pin has struck the breech numerous times. The worst that I'd think could come from this (at least on a buckmark) is that it messes up the firing pin ( cheap enough and replaceable ) and that if you ever sell the fun it is a tale tale sign of an idiot previously owning the gun

I recently pick up a Ruger MKIII 22/45 Threaded Barrel. So far it has been a great shooter, albeit all of the comments regarding disassembly are correct. The first time you field strip it is brutal! However once you do it once or twice it loosens up considerably.
