Fire doesn't work IMHO. 2-4-D amine stops them in a heartbeat.

The positive pressure in the cab of the tractor from the AC will keep the bad stuff outside for most.
When I spray, it's always into the wind with an open cab.
Takes twice as long, but it's always behind.

Makes perfect sense and I wish I had followed that advice 25 years ago. Pretty sure that is what caused my health issues.
I was 10' tall and bullet proof, and I had no concern for what touched my skin. Young and stupid.
Now I pay for it.

The heads seem more red than usual this year. Ruby red instead of pink.
I have 35 gallons of them with around 10 plants left to dig.

This is not Russian thistle (Tumble weed). The thistle you are talking of is different, you can dig if not to many. Other wise spray with 2-4 D or Grazon Next, and add some surfactant or liquid dish soap. Also spray in the cooler part of the day.

Best to spray with wind less than 5 mph. And with some surfactant added.
