Well, I’ve been gone since Tuesday and came home to find potato bugs in one of my beds.🤬
I don’t know whether to spray them or pull up the plants. I’m not hung up on being organic, but I’m not a fan of using chemicals on stuff I intend to eat.

Diatomaceous earth will kill them and isn’t a chemical.

Just wondering what you planted them in.

Hmm...bagged compost from Lowes, mixed with my own compost. We don't spray our yard though.

I pulled the most affected plant a few days ago, but then today went back to the soil to check if any tubers were actually present. To my surprise we found a small bucket full! Now I'm excited to see what my healthier plants might produce. This is our first year doing potatoes.
