Last year, I heard an interview with a doctor who specializes in dementia/Alzheimer's, and she said they'd found no evidence of a link between 'loomnum and Alzheimer's. They'd thought there was something, but they found the same compound in the brains of people who didn't have dementia or Alzheimer's.
Ah, I haven't seen that, which is surprising since it's something I've actually paid a little attention to (I love to cook and I lost the only grandma I knew to Alzheimer's). Thanks for pointing that out, I'll look into it!
